Caucasian Presentation Saber
- Dated: beginning of the 20th century

A superior Imperial Russian presentation saber of the finest Lakh workmanship, mounted in deeply and intricately chiseled, engraved, nielloed and heavily-gilt silver. The hilt of classic form, the pommel a rare, fully-modeled horse’s head connected by a silver knuckle-chain to the crossguard, with a box-set faceted red paste on the ecusson.
The heirloom curved, single-edged Persian shamshir blade with chiseled Arabic calligraphic panel to the right forte and cartouches containing a lion and short Arabic inscription to the left forte, with pronounced central fuller bordered by narrow alternating fullers along the spine on either side, and forged of fine Persian black wootz Damascus steel.
The scabbard of very thick silver decorated en suite with the hilt, the obverse heavily gilt and set with six faceted red pastes in box settings, the reverse with nielloed panels and parcel-gilt borders and a chiseled Arabic inscription, “OWNER YAGHMU RABA’I WORK OF KHIZR 1327 (1909)”, the chape with elaborately-scalloped frame.

Composite Two-Handed Sword

- Measurements: overall length 166 cm
The large blade, German, with a central fuller running half its length, the remainder of lenticular cross-section, with brass inlaid devices to each side, at the right forte three crosses connected by arches, at the left forte the running wolf of Passau and Solingen.
The wooden two-stage grip with cord wrap and leather covering, the mounts restored in the 19th century, consisting of a finely forged guard with concentric rings and expanded quillon terminals, the juncture points finely profiled, and a pear-shaped pommel well engraved with vegetal motifs.

German Estoc

The hilt of iron comprising pommel of low pyramidal form, with broad spreading spatulate quillons and ring-guard retaining much original silver damascened decoration with shagreen covered wood grip, fitted with stout triangular blade of hollow diamond section.
